My Project

Working with students that are English learners in the special education setting requires the implementation of strategies like chunking and color coding to differentiate and add meaning to the readings. Students will use yellow highlighters to identify the claim, blue highlighters to identify the evidence, and green highlighters for their reasoning. Having color copies will allow me to produce examples and visuals to guide them as they learn to color code their text.

Many of my students are sensitive to loud noises and having mechanical pencils and lead will lessen the distractions and the discomfort of sharpening pencils.
