Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students need more lines to write down their thoughts on paper and capture the academic process in action. Notecards are fine for impromptu checks for understanding, but our students need practice collecting their ideas, notes, and reflections on a more substantial page of paper.

Providing college-ruled paper as an expectation for writing helps to challenge our emergent bilingual, English-language learners to have more lines upon which to write their study notes in English, and even their first language.

Having this type of paper also helps prepare students to get acquainted with a higher standard of writing by giving them more lines to fill with their thoughts, and ideas.
