Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This is my first year as a librarian and I would like to rebrand the library. I want students to walk in and feel inspired and excited about higher education.

Research shows that early exposure to colleges and careers increases a students likelihood of participating in higher education.

I would like to increase student exposure throughout the school year by placing college pennants around the library. My goal is to have conversations about different colleges and universities and initiate researching colleges and careers.

I will hang the pennants around the media center and they will inspire students for years to come.
