My Project

I love using collaborative learning practices with my students, but our current desks take up too much space to make it work effectively, not to mention they are falling apart. I want to give my students the opportunity to work comfortably in groups so they can focus less on the difficulties our current furniture gives us and more on engaging with the important work we are doing in both learning content but gaining skills.

Collaborative learning methods have proven to increase student learning and achievement on state and AP testing.

One way I would like to implement these practices will be by doing group project based assignments and projects, which currently is challenging to to with our seating situation. I believe the change in environment will be the key to increasing student learning within my classroom.
