My Students

If children are our future, I am satisfied to know that this class of students will make this world a better place. They have already started to change the school climate with positive attitudes and generosity of spirit.

My students are creative, hard working, and love working together.

They are always willing to try new things and believe in the Power of Yet. They have a Growth Mindset and know that if they don't understand a concept, they will get it through hard work and perseverance.

Through DonorsChoose.org, I hope to foster their creativity and boost their comprehension, helping them to gain the skills to be successful in not only the next grade, but in their lifelong goals.

My Project

My goal is to provide my students with a Sorbus reading bench and lap desks for literature discussions to promote successful collaborations for improved reading comprehension.

My students are progressing as readers and thinkers.

They're now able to glean relevant information from their readings and discuss their stories with a small group. However, they need seating and lap desks to carry out their comprehension goals.

By providing them a safe and comfortable learning corner, my students will have what they need to sit safely and write their discussion points with mobile lap desks. They'll learn the importance of exchanging ideas and learning from another's perspective to round out their comprehension skills.
