My Project

These beautiful, collaborative tables would provide an ideal learning environment for my students. First, they set the tone for an interactive classroom based on discussion and working with others. Second, since they are new and innovative, they would make my students feel special and set an elevated tone for learning.

The majority of my students come from low income households where having the new, high end, special furniture or belongings is not possible.

I would love to provide them a space where they feel special. The elevated quality of the learning environment would communicate both how I value them as students and the high bar I have for their learning. My students have tremendous learning gaps to close, and sitting traditional desks in isolated, institutional rows is not the classroom environment that will spark the collaborating and engagement that they need and deserve.
