Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We all love snow days. There is a certain quietness and peacefulness that comes from watching the snow gently land on the ground. However, as beautiful as this scene is, our students prefer to stay in the dry and warm cafeteria.

In our New York City public school, many of our students live in poverty and receive free or reduced lunch.

The students enjoy coming to school. They like learning and interacting with their friends and teachers. At school, they feel safe and comfortable.

My Project

Our school population is approximately 350 students. On nice warm days during lunch, students can use the playground, courtyard and go out and enjoy the weather. However, as the cold weather, snow, and rain dominate the forecast all these students eat lunch and stay indoor bored and inactive. With these 125 coloring books and activity books students will be engaged in fun and interactive activities.

These activities books/coloring books are important for our school because they will help students be engaged during inclement weather.

These books will keep our students indoors and safe.
