My Project

Help me give my students the supplies they need to launch a coffee cart and café that will provide them with valuable life skills. This project is more than just a café—it’s a transformative real-world learning experience for high school students with autism. Through this hands-on initiative, they will develop essential communication, job, and executive functioning skills, including money management, customer service, inventory control, and teamwork. Students will learn to confidently approach customers, manage a budget, and work together, gaining leadership and problem-solving skills that will help them succeed in both personal and professional settings. These experiences will prepare them for future employment, greater independence, and adult life.

This coffee cart and café will empower my students with autism to develop vital communication, job, and life skills that will help them thrive in the classroom and beyond.
