My Project
Students will be able to take orders, make coffee per request, and serve coffee. Students could also calculate the cost of 'overhead' supplies to establish a way to replace the supplies. Students can travel throughout the building with the portable cart, increasing socialization, independence, and executive functioning skills.
A coffee cart would partner with the student store and give my students yet another valuable avenue for career exploration and an opportunity to practice skill they have learned in class.
Customer service, handling money, making change, and following several-step procedures could be part of our daily activities, just by offering coffee to teachers.
