This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have requested tablets for my computer lab. I plan on using them to create Android apps. There used to be only one way to create mobile apps, writing it from scratch. Most likely using Java language. This was a complicated language that made creating apps an exclusionary process.

Using MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) App Inventor program, anyone can create apps that impact the world.

This program is based on block coding that my students are familiar with after completing the Hour of Code Challenges. It simplifies the complexity of creating apps using a simple block command-based system. My students would love the opportunity to create the apps and download them on our tablets to use.
