Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will learn how to code in small groups. They will understand the relationship between humans and robots using these Sphero robots and how to interact with technology. We will build mazes, tracks and race through our STEAM room. Currently, our science curriculum does not include a lot of coding experience, so this will extend students’ ideas and dreams of coding robots.

My goal with this project is to get students interested in coding and robotics.

I want to give them the confidence to pursue coding and robotics past elementary school.

Our students are special because they are from a variety of backgrounds, and include a district SCS (learners with autism) program and English Language Learners.

I am submitting this project in collaboration with other educators.
