My students are very curious, inquisitive, and eager to learn new things. We need technology in our classroom to keep these remarkable minds thinking. As a specialist teacher, I see every student in our school and have the opportunity to introduce approximately 1100 students to technology they may otherwise never experience.
Today's student needs access to various technology to understand how what they learn in class applies to their lives.
My students often have that "a-ha" moment when they can see how technology interacts with and betters our lives.
Students are fearless when it comes to technology, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to interact with their world.
My Project
This set of Ozobots I am requesting will develop student understanding and knowledge of computer science, coding, and creative hacking by implementing Ozobot into their classwork. A set of Ozobots allows students to use color coding to create paths for Ozobot to navigate life cycles, forces, and investigate motion.
Advancing to computer coding, students will program Ozobot to traverse land forms, changes in the rock cycle, moon phases, and weather patterns.
Using the Ozoblockly program, my students will incorporate math skills including variables and functions. Students will also increase their understanding of abstract concepts and improve their tech skills with Ozobots.
