My Project

We are seeking retro gaming displays to showcase student-created games in our rural middle school STEM classroom. These displays will allow students to see their coding projects come to life on hardware that mirrors the early days of game development, fostering both excitement and historical awareness of technology’s evolution. The tactile and visual connection to retro systems will deepen their engagement and inspire creativity.

Our students are learning game design and coding using beginner-friendly platforms, and they thrive when they can share their creations in a tangible way.

Retro-style displays offer an accessible and fun medium for showcasing their work, encouraging them to take pride in their problem-solving and design skills. This hands-on experience not only reinforces core STEM concepts but also builds confidence in their abilities.

Being in a rural district, our students often have limited access to engaging tech tools outside the classroom. This grant would help bridge that gap, making our STEM program more dynamic and giving students an opportunity to connect their learning to real-world applications. With these displays, we aim to spark a lifelong interest in technology and innovation.
