My Project

As the STEAM Teacher that works in all of the elementary schools across the district, I have the opportunity to work with a large number of elementary students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

I am excited to bring robots to the classroom to enhance learning in all content areas!

Technology plays a huge role in the lives of our students. These Bee-Bot robots will help my students to interact, communicate, explore and engage with each other. They will have the opportunity to learn about coding in a playful way.

These colorful, easy-to-operate, programmable robots will help students learn problem-solving skills, coding, computational thinking, and collaborative learning skills. There are so many ways to use Bee-Bots in the classroom! Students can express themselves creatively and reinforce language arts standards. Students will be able to use Bee-Bots in all subject areas to demonstrate their understanding. They will be able to code the Bee-Bot to move to an area on a map or to move through important events to retell a story. The Bee-Bots will enhance social-emotional development as students work together to plan, test, and debug programs.

Students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process will be the innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century!
