Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Coding is necessary, and fundamental skills that help students. It provides them with immediate benefits for their rest of their lives. Learning to code helps students to think logical. Its boots students confidence and communication skills.

It makes students problem solve and encourages their creativity.

The other materials such as the ink cartridge will help me to print step by step instructions. The the stem explorer machine maker and the stem magnet movers will help continue to build their critical thinking skills while exposing them to the world of engineering. The learning flower model will also provide them with access into the science world by breaking down the parts of plant. The lakeshore phonological game will further help them with literacy skills that they have been working on and will provide a fun and engaging opportunity to play with words. The math dice are needed to add to our math center which has teacher made math games that need dice for example roll and count, etc.

My goal is to expose my students who other wise will not have an opportunity to engage with this technology. My hope is to spark their creativity and joy for these needed skills and for them to be ready for a very competitive workforce in the future.

Kindergartners are special because they love to explore and learn new things. With this donation they will have the opportunity to experiment, learn, and build on that foundation. I will be able to teach them the basics of coding. They will learn this in an age appropriate, developmentally appropriate, fun while keeping them engaged.
