Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a firm believer of experiential learning in that kids learn best through reflection on doing and having fun.

I am thinking of using these little colorful magnetic cubelet blocks and coding robot with my students for the new school year to spark an interest in robotics and engineering among my students, increase their creativity, and hopefully the finished products will give them a sense of accomplishment and confidence.

Robotics matches the new digital technologies curriculum in our nation and helps address the growing demand for teaching Science, Technology, Engineering and Math in schools. It is also a fun way to get our students engaged in learning.

In a world where instant gratification is often the norm, having to put a little time and effort into building a toy will help kids appreciate the toys they build and the mechanics behind them.

These amazing cubelets are great to introduce students to robotics, coding, and design thinking as they create simple mobile and reactive robots. Each cube does something special, or has a unique function. Combine them together with the built-in magnets and they interact to form something new. The possibilities are endless!

Much thanks for your consideration and help in funding this Modular Robotics Cubelets project to make learning fun and meaningful for my students!
