Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very eager learners who enjoy coming to school with smiles on their faces and excited to start the day.

Our school is a Title 1 school in which all the students receive free lunch and are also provided breakfast in the classroom to get their day started.

Many of my students live in very small apartments with multiple families living together.

School becomes a second home for many of my students and they feel safe and happy to be at school every day.

My Project

My kindergarten students need Botley the coding robot activity set in order to program Botley to move in different directions. This coding robot activity set will engage students to work together in order to make the robot move in any direction that they want it to move. This will help the students to learn there left, right , forward and backward directions.

Having multiple coding robots in the classroom will allow the students to work in small groups cooperatively and successfully when coding their robots.

Once, the students become familiar with coding they can race with different obstacle courses and teams.
