My Project

The Neo drone and associated materials will significantly enhance our students' learning experience by providing a hands-on approach to STEM education. By integrating coding, physics, and engineering principles with the themes of kindness and empathy from Wonder, students will develop a deeper understanding of complex concepts while fostering essential life skills such as empathy and inclusivity. The drone will allow students to visualize and interact with abstract ideas, making learning more engaging and accessible.

One of our primary goals is to enhance STEM skills.

The Neo drone will help teach coding, physics, and engineering in a practical and engaging manner. We also want to promote kindness and empathy. We plan to connect drone activities to the themes of wonder by encouraging students to reflect on how kindness can impact others. We also want to foster creativity and collaboration. Students will get to work together to design and execute drone projects that illustrate acts of kindness, promoting teamwork and creative expression.

Our elementary gifted students are curious, creative, and eager to learn. They thrive in environments where they can explore complex ideas and express themselves creatively. What makes them truly special is their capacity for empathy and kindness, which they demonstrate through their interactions with peers and their community. By engaging with the Neo drone and the themes of wonder, these students will not only develop advanced STEM skills but also become more compassionate and thoughtful individuals, equipped to make a positive impact in their world.

Mrs. Setser will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by July 12.
