Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My children are an amazing set of Multilingual Learners who not only are learning English and Spanish but are are also learning how to navigate the waters of the virtual classroom. Technology has been an integral part of my classroom for years and now we have the exciting opportunity to be part of the Computer Science for All initiative in NYC!

My Project

These materials include resources to help my students embark on and continue a educational journey where Computer Science perspectives become a part of every day life. Students of color need more access to and representation in the world of technology, coding, programming and software development. The key to get them there in the future, is to start them now while they are young. Getting children excited about something when they are little will impact them for decades to come. Help me engage and motivate my students so that when they picture a computer scientist, it’s themselves they see!
