My Students

My kindergarten students are very eager to learn. My school is a Title I school where over 50% of the kids receive free or reduced price lunches. These kids come from very diverse homes and many of them are English language learners.

My students meet me each day with enthusiasm wanting to know what the school day holds for them.

They are always ready to learn new skills and concepts, explore through hands-on learning, and meet their full potential daily!

My Project

These materials will help my students learn how to CODE! This year, I want to provide these activities in my classroom at the beginning of the year to give my students a chance to develop their CODING skills. CODING provides my students opportunities to engage with technology, science, math, reading, and social skills.

We need a STEM Coding Robot Mouse Classroom Set to explore and learn to program the toys using codes they have created.

These activities will build confidence in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. These hands-on activities will teach my students through trial and error how to write CODE in kindergarten!

Kids are natural learners, they are very smart and great problem solvers. Working together to write a successful CODE takes teamwork and collaboration. These skills are ones my students will need and use for the rest of their lives. These activities will be used weekly in our classroom and are sure to be a favorite throughout the year.
