Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are truly exceptional! They work hard to succeed. They persevere when faced with a challenge, creatively inspire our community, and believe in one another. They are tomorrow's leaders and world-changers. They are our future and together we can help them reach their dreams. More than 100% of our students receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. They come to a low-income Title I school every day where resources are very limited. Some of our students are unable to purchase supplies and the school is only able to do so much with the budget they have. Our students strive to do their best!

My students are energetic, smart, and motivated to succeed.

Even though they come from a variety of backgrounds, including race, religion and family structure, we all work together to create a unique learning experience, instilling a love of learning and exploring that will last a lifetime. Many of my students' parents work multiple jobs and are unable to attend school events, therefore parents are missing out of their students' successes.

My Project

Many of our students want to learn coding. With the use of the Sphero robots students will have the opportunity to explore problem solving in an engaging, relaxing, and meaningful way. With all the demands on curriculum and constant changes students should have the opportunity to learn just because.

I am extremely proud of the progress my students have made.

With this Sphero kit, more students will be able to participate. Problem solving is a struggle to teach. With these Sphero robots students are want to accomplish the task on their own, This also teaches students to take a step and look at it a different way.
