My Project

My 8th - 12th grade coding students are extremely driven, kind, team players. They have to work together because all levels are in the same classroom. My students enter the room ready to learn everyday and are happy with every type of lesson. But I want them to go farther and see this as a future career and learn how to manage the money they can make in this field.

They learn best when exploring and encouraging one another to keep up.

Each student excels in different areas of programming, yet they always find the time to help one another learn. They are the most team-oriented group of students I have ever seen. This is a key role in programming in the real world.

While they come from a low socioeconomic area, they are willing to strive for excellence in all things, and I want to keep that spirit in all of our activities. I do not want to place any limits on their creativity and drive.

With a Meta Quest 2 I can take the students farther than in a regular programming course and enable them to have a skill not normally seen in young people and the ability to plan for their future.
