My Project

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Kyle Head and I teach a video editing class along with assisting our students in student-led sports broadcasts for our high school.

Like many other classes, COVID learning and teaching a hands on, interactive class was very difficult. Our school district has licenses for the video editing software that are only available on our school computers. When students were at home with their Chromebooks, they had little access to professional editing software and equipment. The last few years, we have been catching up all of our students to make up for the lost time. Items on my project list will help my students in the classroom filming, editing and producing videos. The headphones in this project are for our students to be able to watch tutorial videos and edit their videos without hearing twenty other computers trying to do the same thing. It will also help our student-led broadcasts of sporting events such as football and basketball.

Since COVID, we haven't gone out into the community to ask for donations/advertisements for our sporting events as we have in the past. This money went towards some of the things in the project list that we have been able to buy in the past. Over the years equipment such as microphones, cables and card readers need to be updated.
