My Project

My students will enjoy a neat and clutter free classroom. By using shelves, baskets, easels, and flexible seating, my students will have a space that is conducive to learning.

Students feel a sense of community when they are able to have some ownership in the organization of their classroom.

The flexible seating will allow my students to move about for group work. During independent work times they are able choose a location in the classroom that works for them.

The shelves and book baskets will allow my students to easily access our classroom library and all that it has to offer. We have books on various levels, genres, and topics. Having the book shelves and baskets to keep our books neat and organized will also allow them to become independent in caring for the books. The best way to foster a love for reading is to read more, and our neatly arranged library books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. We will also use the bulletin board, peg board organizers, and dry erase easel to allow for more independence during group work and writing centers. Students will have the materials they need available for them in an organized manner.
