Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At CP K8 Academy we offer an Agriscience Magnet Program to our Kindergarten to 8th grade students. As part of this class, students learn about how to care for and raise animals. The main animals our students care for are rabbits and poultry. As part of the class they raise and show our pedigree rabbits and chickens at competitive events in South Florida. This provides them with hands-on experience caring for animals as well as leadership and public speaking skill. For this project we are requesting supplies that will help our students care for our rabbits and chickens.

Our current equipment we use to house our rabbits and chickens is old and out dated.

We would like to provide newer and better pens to help keep our animals in a safe and clean environment. We are also requesting grooming kits and feeding bowls so we can provide the best care possible for our animals.

These materials will help our students provide the best care possible to our award-winning animals. It will also allow the students to continue to be successful in the competitions they attend with these animals.
