My Project

Students are entering 5th grade with some foundational skills missing. In order to better support their learning of 5th grade content, my students need additional support in early childhood skills and concepts.

These materials focused around phonics and writing will provide the students with daily support to help them feel confident and successful with tackling the 5th grade!

These materials will be used each and every day with the students who desperately need them. It will provide phonics support since 5th grade doesn't usually have to address that. That is why these materials are essential to my classroom.

Even though school looks different than what they are used to, they are trying the very best they can. They are students who are eager to learn and want to be the best version of themselves. All of them have goals of one day going to college, and most importantly, having strong careers! They don't allow the outside influences of their environment to affect their learning and eagerness to learn. They are typical kids, in an area that forces kids to grow up quickly. Most of all, they care about school and come each day eager and willing! What more could a teacher ask for?
