Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been transitioning my students away from PowerPoint presentations where they are sitting in viewing slides, while I lecture to "museum exhibits in the classroom." We have been experimenting with having stations around the classroom and labeling them as museum exhibits when in fact, they are actually looking at powerpoint slides and physical historical artifacts in those stations.

When setting this up, it felt like it was going to work in theory however, it turned out that the one thing we didn't account for was the fact that students would need to write as they were going around the room.

I have a handful of clipboards in my room and every time we do this exercise there's a mad rush for these clipboards. I need a minimum of 20 more clipboards and two holders to organize them. Currently the six old clipboards that I have are taking up space on a rickety old bookshelf, and they constantly are falling off because there's no organizational space for these clipboards.

If we were fortunate enough to secure the clipboard holders, I have several bookshelves in the rear of my class that could adequately display the new ones and store them.

As always, I would like to thank any person who decides to help fund our project. This is for my students' comfort primarily as they struggle to find a place to write in the cramped space that we are in.
