My Students

Our school is only four years old. But in those four years our students have become a family. And we want to help that family grow closer together.

I work with students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

I have the unique privilege of getting to see he classroom communities form and grow in almost all the classes in the school. Our students are lively and energetic, with a lot of laughter and a lot of personality.

My Project

I want to take our fifth and sixth grade students on a trip they will remember. I have organized for them to go to Irons Oaks Environmental Center. While there they will be doing a series of team building activities. They will be climbing crates, participating in races, and enjoying the outdoors. We are an urban school, so it will also be a unique experience for our students to get to be in a wooded area away from the city. This will be the first time many of them have ever gone to the woods! Our fifth and sixth grade students have been working on developing leadership. I believe this trip will help them to solidify the learning and teamwork they have done in their classrooms this year.

All students deserve to have an education that engages both their academic abilities, but also their social emotional needs.

This trip will give our students a chance to learn about nature while also learning about themselves. At such an important time in their development, we know this will be an incredible opportunity. Please consider donating to our classrooms!
