My Students

My classroom consists of many different levels of students. I have some students who require enrichment activities to intrigue their interests and curiosities at a higher level and some students who thrive better from a more hands-on and tactile approach. All of my students become fully engaged when lessons are presented in a kinesthetic approach.

With the current Covid-19 Social Distancing guidelines, my students will have to work at a safe distance from each other.

With this in mind, these masks will help my students stay safer while still enabling them to work in small ratio groups or with a partner. My students all seem to learn best when working together with partners or in small groups. They teach each other their own learning styles. Lessons that are tied into the standards, presented with a "hook" or "phenomenon", spark their interests and helps them begin the learning. These hands-on tools enhance that learning that will help my students retain the information longer.

My Project

With Covid-19 in full force, it appears that our school district may be going back into the classroom. These clear protective masks will help the students maintain a healthier atmosphere.

Cloth masks are recommended, but are very difficult for primary students to keep on their faces all day.

These clear view masks not only make it easier for a child to keep their face safer from breathing in germs. It's easier for the little ones to keep them on their little faces. We need to help stop the spread of germs. These masks can help my little, second graders keep their faces covered without the obstruction of their breathing. It also helps when you are trying to teach a small child phonemic awareness skills and phonics and your mouth is covered by a cloth mask. The students cannot see how your mouth is forming the sounds. These clear masks will help enable the students to see my mouth as I am forming the words.
