Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We all know that having a clean surrounding is one of the most influential factors especially in a school setting. Therefore to help my students to achieve this, I have identified a few specific cleaning products, that will assist them to cultivate a habit of cleanliness to boost their mental health and support productivity especially in our first period Science class.

We intend to develop a system of keeping our areas clean as a clean environment can influence students productivity and behavior in class.

My students will create a chart with teams who are assigned to cleaning duty each day. The most expensive item is the canned Lysol spray, but it was chosen because they can use it effectively to clean their desks and chairs in the morning .

Spraying the room with the Febreze Air Freshener spray will freshens the air around us and set the mood and tone to start their first subject of the day which is usually Science. Cultivating a system of cleanliness will bring awareness to the negative impact that viruses and bacteria can have in shared spaces. This awareness will also contribute to the importance of mental health , wellness and happiness in our physical environment.

My students will also feel appreciation and gratitude for the people who donate these supplies recognizing the positive impact your contribution made in their lives. In turn, when they grow-up, they may be in a position to donate to others, as they will remember the generosity shown to them through DonorsChoose.org.
