This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hygiene kits can make a difference in their learning because good hygiene can help students focus on completing their school work. Poor hygiene may affect a child's physical and mental health. A student may get sick more often causing them to miss school and fall behind in class. Toothbrush, toothpaste, a bar of soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, deodorant, comb, etc. offer an easy and helpful way to assist children and adults affected by poverty or other hardships which is our goal for this project.

Our hygiene kit holds personal care items that will clean, comfort, and groom a person's body and mind.

My goal is to start by explaining to students why hygiene is important. Help them understand that practicing good hygiene, contributes to their overall well-being. We will emphasize the connection between hygiene and preventing illnesses. Poor hygiene can cause sickness and disease. Poor hygiene can also cause social rejection and may lead to bullying, low confidence, and low self-esteem. Good hygiene provides students with the ability to concentrate, learn, and build strong confidence students.
