Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, energetic, talkative, have stories that brighten my day and love to ask questions. They enjoy hands-on, active, engaging lessons and I try my best to challenge them. They learn through the use of a variety of educational videos, engaging activities, nursery rhymes and chants. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are but at the same time have a safe space to move around and keep with the safety protocols of social distancing! They come to school each day ready to try new things and I consider them very brave by coming to school each day under our present circumstances of COVID-19. They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students are to be used in our classroom. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The air purifier will be placed in our classroom and used daily. The air purifier will be a great asset to our classroom being that the COVID -19 is at its highest, it has become a great concern to all involved to have a safe, disinfected, and cleaner classroom. This in turn will allow my students to know and understand how important their safety and health is our first priority. As it is, it is not a good practice to work effectively and safely in a setting where they do not feel safe.
