Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is based on a community of learning where students feel safe and loved. The environment is organized in different areas of interest where students have the opportunity to explore and work together with a variety of materials. From the moment the students arrive until they leave the classroom, they feel it is a place where they have belongings and are heard.

My preschoolers are very active, caring, loving, and eager to discover everything that is around them.

I have the great opportunity to teach children of mixed ages 3 & 4 years old from different cultures in an Immersion Program in Spanish.

My Project

We need new shelves in our Pre-K classroom to store everything from puzzles, board games, blocks, dramatic-play materials, art, and more. I am requesting five Lakeshore sturdy birch units that are just the right height for preschoolers with 5 extra roomy compartments that can hold tons of toys and classroom supplies.

With these shelves, my students can become independent by being able to reach and get to the materials that will open their minds and fill their imaginations.

When students enter our Pre-K program, they embark on a year of rigorous learning and self-discovery. Classroom organization is a huge component of creating a self-sufficient classroom. An organized classroom helps day to day classroom activities run more smoothly. The shelves in this project will help to create an organized classroom, where students will be able to access the independent learning centers. We will place the flexible baskets with a natural look on the shelves so our littles can easily reach their toys and learning manipulative without assistance. Finally, the sand table with the brown and tan colors will create the perfect natural setting for hours of open-ended sand & water play.

By helping to fund my project, you will provide my students with an incredible tool to assist in their learning. Please help my students achieve by getting shelves, baskets, and a ​sand table for our classroom.
