My Students

I have been granted the profound opportunity to support some of the most dynamic students in the world as an ESE Facilitator and a Psychology. We are a Title I Magnet School where the kids are super bright and are working hard toward having a fabulous life - Ever After. Every day when I see them, I am really honored to be on the leading edge of their development. I know that these students will be major change agents for the world that we live in. Being able to be a part of their process has been truly life-changing for me.

Even though we have elements of a traditional school, we also have 7 different academies which become the focus areas for their pre-college majors.

I can work with all academies as I teach in the social sciences and as an ESE facilitator.

Returning to school has been a different experience - filled with multiple emotions, but most of all, great. Even though it may be challenging at times. With the right resources, I know that I will be able to deliver my lessons to my students fairly and equitably.

My Project

After a year and a half of being in a remote learning environment, my students are finally back in the brick-and-mortar setting. Ask any teacher - the hardest part about 2020-2021 was physically away from our students. Now that we are all back, giving them the best chance at a safe/stress-free class environment, keeping it clean and sanitized while ensuring everyone is healthy. The masks, cleaners, sanitizers, and especially the Covid home test kit will help keep my students in school.

Even though the janitorial team does an excellent job in keeping the school sanitized, it's difficult to keep up with the pace of class transitions in a rapidly moving high school setting.

They would almost have to be superhuman to get all the classes in this mammoth high school completion in the space of 5 minutes. The only way to keep my students safe is by doing my part in keeping my classroom clean.

We live in a Covid hot zone, and all my students want to do is graduate high school to start their lives. They all have amazing life plans, which they have spent the last 3 years curating. I know that they all will move mountains as they achieve their goals, but the stress that I have witnessed them go through has painted a dismal picture of the future.

Whatever you can do to help my student's dreams be realized will be greatly appreciated.
