Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These materials are for a telecommunications class for middle schoolers. We use several Macbooks. 'We' = about 20 kids. Imagine how dirty the screens and keyboards get. It would be wonderful to have proper screen/keyboard cleaner and cloths - something that doesn't smear! Additionally, we need an external microphone and adapter for one of the laptops.

We do not have an affluent PTA that could support the telecommunications class (about 85% of our families get by on lower-than-average household income), and our young video makers rely on the support of DonorsChoose.

The telecommunications class produces videos for morning announcements, the school website, and inter-school competitions. To date, they have made over 500 videos. The class is popular and busy - which means that those screens and keyboards need regular cleaning! We also find ourselves needing a quality microphone for one of the laptops - the hardest thing to get right while producing videos is the audio!

Please help our kids out. Any assistance you could give would be greatly appreciated!
