My Students

I am a second grade special education teacher teaching in a low-income neighborhood. My students are composed of new immigrants from China and families with low-income. Families in this community rely heavily on schools to help care for their children while they work long hours to make ends meet. These children depend on schools for their essential needs such as health and food.

Moreover, my students have special needs, compounded with this pandemic, it leads to a more difficult and frustrating situation when the students come back to school.

My Project

My students need to have masks and cleaning supplies that will ensure they stay healthy during the school year, especially during this pandemic.

These masks and cleaning supplies will make a difference in our classroom because they will eliminate germs and bacteria that would make my students sick.

These essential supplies will keep my students healthier so they can focus on learning.

These supplies will also help with my students who have allergies. I want my students to feel safe in their classroom, and I think these supplies will be a great step towards achieving that. I know they will appreciate having nice and clean classroom!
