Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a magnet secondary high school that focuses on marine and environmental science. Students interested in attending must go through an application process. Once accepted, they are part of a diverse, gifted, and motivating learning environment. Our students work super hard and they love to explore, discover and learn.

Students at our school are eager to learn and get involved in their community.

They jump into a rigorous schedule that includes AP classes and Dual Enrollment classes, to get a better understanding of our world in hope of contributing to their society.

My Project

Our school has recently moved to a new beautiful building with carpet floors and lots of potential. Given the mess outside of the classroom concerning COVID and mental health, I would like to offer a clean learning environment students so students can focus on what matters: their happiness and education.

Our classroom will use the wipes and disinfecting spray to rid our learning environment of germs and viruses, and the vacuum to clean messes and distractions.

We will use the extension cord to charge the vacuum (and other electronics).

While I can't fix all the messes outside of the classroom, my hope is to use these resources to clean the inside of our classroom and give my students some sense of cleanliness and security with a clean classroom.
