This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This carpet vacuum and solution will be ideal for my classroom as well as for the other teachers on my team. Our Pre-K classrooms have multiple carpets in the room. These carpets have heavy traffic all day, whether it be at center time, whole group lesson time, or simply nap time. Our carpets get the rough treatment daily!
They get full of dirt, crumbs, and sometimes some unwanted stains no one likes to deal with.
Having a carpet cleaning vacuum would truly facilitate keeping our carpets clean and tidy. Our school does have normal vacuums, but having one that can wash up stains would be ideal.
This would help with the aesthetics of the classroom, but most importantly it would help us keep our classroom carpets clean and free of unwanted germs that can and do at times cause our kids to get sick.
Our school is a Title 1 school with 100% of our students being of low socio-economic background. Getting a vacuum like this is not easy for us. Getting it through Donors Choose would be great!
