My Students

Take a moment to think about your kindergarten experience. Did you just get a feeling of nostalgia, too? Kindergarten is an amazing and fun time that teaches you the foundations of reading, writing, and math.

The children I teach are energetic, wonderful, hardworking students.

Some of them come from situations that no one should ever experience. They impress me every day with their awesome attitudes and desire to learn. We are a full-day kindergarten class at a Title I school. Most of our students qualify for the free breakfast and lunch program. The student population is 33% Caucasian, 26% Hispanic, 12% Asian, 11% African American, and 28% other.

My Project

Recently, our school district came out with an announcement that starting March 1st, students in grades pre k through 3rd will be coming back on campus for hybrid instruction. It has been almost a year since we have had students on our campus.

Because of this back to school announcement I am trying to prepare my classroom and make it a safe environment!

I am asking for a Honeywell Air Purifier because I want to provide my students an extra layer of safety when they return to the classroom, and I also want the parents to know that I am thinking outside of the box when it comes to their child's safety. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
