My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, I know my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Even with the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things interesting and engaging in the classroom.

My goal is to reach my energetic students with real-life learning experience through literature in creative and meaningful learning ways.

I constantly work toward creating an environment for my students to learn that they feel safe and secure.

My Project

Clean air is closely correlated with student and teacher health, happiness, high attendance rates and academic performance.

I am requesting an air purifier to enable my students to have access to clean air.

They must have access to a good education, but they also need clean air to breathe as well. Having a portable air purifier in the room is one of the strategies recommended to keep air safe.

At worst, poor air quality in schools takes students out of the classroom due to respiratory infections an asthma. An air purifier in a crowded classroom of sneezing students can reduce the spread of colds and flu by filtering out bacteria and viruses. It can also remove allergy and. asthma triggers. Thank you for considering this worthwhile project!
