My Project

My students are from North Philadelphia, they are excited, creative and energetic. My classes in Kindergarten to 2nd grade will be creating clay pendants inspired by Isaiah Zagar the artist who created Philadelphia Magic Gardens. It is important to me to connect the students to their city through art! They can see Isaiah Zagar's work all around Philadelphia and resonate with it because of this.

My students are excited to get the hands-on experience of making a mosaic!

They are so engaged and excited when we use 3D materials and they love to do collaborative projects. They have learned about collage and mosaic using paper and glue, with the materials of Model magic clay and beads they will be able to design their own mosaic pandants that they can wear and take home.
