This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

There is nothing quite like working with clay- when you’re squishing it between your hands, the possibilities feel endless. With clay alone, you can build your own world and characters to live in it.

Clay is a resource our students are always excited to work with, and we’d love to make some special gifts to send home this year, like pinch-pots and clay animals.

They will get to make contact with a medium humans have used for thousands of years for both art and utility, as we also dive into the history of clay use and ancient pottery.
