This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students often benefit from completing assignments on paper. From reading questions to graphic organizers, students often do their best learning when technology is away and pens/paper come out. In order to have these paper assignments, a printer is necessary.

For my classroom to function at its best, it needs a printer available.

When a student says, "I lost my copy of the worksheet!" I can print them a new one. When it's time for a parent-teacher conference, I can print a progress report. When it's time to go to the copy room and request copies, I can have the paper printed to submit my copy request. At my majority minority school, ESOL students can also benefit from printed translations. There are a thousand reasons why it's helpful to have a printer available for last minute printing.

Unfortunately, after six years at my school, my classroom printer is on its way out, and there will no longer be printer or toner replacements. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
