My Project

The Classroom Unity Quilt Project is designed to engage our students in a collaborative art endeavor that promotes unity, diversity, and inclusivity within our classroom. The project involves the creation of a large quilt comprised of individual patches, each uniquely designed and decorated by our students. Each student's individual quilt patch represents their unique identity, background, and perspective.

When these patches are brought together to form a quilt, they create a beautiful tapestry that celebrates the diversity of our classroom.

This celebration of diversity promotes acceptance, understanding, and appreciation for differences. The supplies requested will be used to bring this project to life: canvas squares for each student, fabric markers to make their artwork, quilting fabric between the squares and on the back of the quilt, batting to incase between the layers of fabric, and a sewing machine to bring it all together.
