My Students

As I start my 15th year of teaching I’m just as excited as if it was my first year being in the classroom. What makes working with children so rewarding is well everything; the way they transform before your eyes, the funny things they say, and everything in between.

Starting off this school year, I have a dynamic new bunch and I can't wait to work with them.

I met with them before the school year ended, and let me just say, these kids are so eager to learn. I can't wait to explore, talk, read, laugh, and of course, learn with them this year.

My Project

When students work together in a comfortable nurturing environment they are more likely to succeed. The items I have chosen will help me create a setting in which student to student collaboration can take place and become part of their everyday experience. The students will have the opportunity to choose which learning style they feel more comfortable with such as sitting on the rug, using cushions, chairs with lap desks or just some independent time using a privacy board. After having met my new students I know they will enjoy learning in this environment. Who wouldn’t want to learn in a comfortable environment such as this?
