This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first year teacher, giving students access to classroom supplies is a crucial part of creating an accessible learning space. As I was creating my list of classroom supplies, I took into account the early development of my TK/K students and how they will be developing their fine motor skills. The pencil grips and mini loop scissors will assist my students who may need a little more support with their fine motor skills. By providing different supplies to my students, they will begin to feel more comfortable using the supplies on their own.

My TK/K students are just beginning their experience being in school, and I want to make sure they have proper access to classroom supplies.

The pencils, crayons, and glue sticks are things we will use throughout the school days, so it will be helpful to have a class set when students need more. With these supplies, my students will feel prepared for the start of the school year!
