Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Teaching 5th grade is special because they are on their way to becoming young adults and navigating through life one lesson at a time.
I would love to provide my students with essential supplies to support them in their learning of financial literacy.
Writing materials, math manipulatives, and organizational materials will support them in keeping themselves organized, reaching for support, and allowing them to track their progress. For example, whiteboards, post-its, and writing materials will allow my students to have their thinking come to life and identify what they have completed and what they can continue to work on. They will also have the opportunity to compare answers and strategies. I have also included incentives as a way to celebrate learning and achievement.
