My Project

The school I teach at is a Title I-funded school, and the majority of our families are considered low-income. These supplies help take the burden of purchasing new supplies off of the families and make it so all students have exactly the same supplies to use each day. These materials will help my students be successful at completing tasks and learning at school.

I work with a diverse population of students with varying needs and benefit from interactive lessons and materials.

The supplies that are being requested include loose-leaf paper, pens, highlighters, post-it notes, gel pens, and Kleenex. All of these items will be used during interactive lessons in the classroom. Using different colors helps students break up problems or readings, so they can focus on specific questions. I've also requested Clorox wipes to help keep the classroom sanitized during cold and flu season when the building janitors are unavailable.
