This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a school with many low-income families and have the honor of teaching my K-5 rockstars! My kids have a wide range of abilities but they are tough and never give up! We work hard during the day but we like to play too! The students in my class are energetic, creative, and very curious! They have had to adapt to many changes this year, but they are always ready to try something new.

I love working with my amazing students!

My kids deserve every little thing I can give them, and if I can help lower the burden on their families, to me it is worth every dime!

My Project

This last year was a WILD ride! We had to use individual supplies way more than normal and many of my families have been out of work or not working at their normal levels so money is tight. Making sure my amazing kids continued to learn and make progress meant using up all of the extra supplies I had in the room. The supplies on my list will help us refill our classroom supplies and kick off our year right. I have included many of the basic school supplies as well as a few items we use in the classroom and incentives we use on a regular basis. We will use the composition notebooks, and file folders in our interactive notebooks. Fine motor skills are practiced using hole punches and stickers, playdoh. My students have many physical needs and the thick pencils are our favorites! We are able to learn how to write our names, letters and numbers. Our school year will be amazing with your support!
