This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 23 amazing and academically gifted elementary scholars. They enter my classroom with big smiles, are happy, and are ready to learn. Many students that come to our school do not speak English. We also have exceptional students included in our class.

We are a Global Magnet, Title I school serving 65% of low-income families who speak limited English.

We offer Mandarin Chinese and Spanish to our students. Our school also serves families whose parents work multiple jobs to help make ends meet.

My Project

Since we will be returning back to school in person, I need each student to have their own learning bags. The learning bag will include markers, crayons, scissors, glue, and other classroom supplies to assist them in their differentiated learning environment. Students will use the material to create project-based math, science, and literacy activities. Students will also use the learning bags to create journal books during literacy.

I want to keep all my students safe during in-person learning and the individual supplies will help with safety with each lesson.
